POM
POM is a thermoplastic polymer material. In looks it is shinier than Nylon. It is well known for its excellent tensile strength and chemical resistance. Acetal is also recognised for its flexural memory when put under pressure over a long period of time. This handy little plastic buckle is great at withstanding extreme conditions too. From -40 °C to 60 °C. POM is recommended for high performance use due to how versatile it is however it can be more expensive. POM is slightly lighter than Nylon but there is not a large difference between the two.
Nylon
Nylon is a synthetic polymer known for its durability and flexibility. It is lightweight, resistant to abrasion, and has good impact resistance. Nylon buckles are often used in outdoor gear and luggage due to their strength and reliability. They can withstand rough handling and remain intact, providing secure closure for your suitcase.Due to the materials used to create nylon, it isn’t the best under repeated humidity changes. Please take a close look at one of our best-selling side release buckle K0009, at the male buckle, there are two slots on it, exterior and interior, only one slot at the female buckle in contrast, which means male buckle is adjustable and female one is non-adjustable; there’s are also dual adjustable style with two slots on both sides.

And install the end of webbing up into exterior slot of webbing, and then pass through down interior slot around the center bar of the buckle.
For non-adjustable female side, insert the webbing end into the slot of female buckle, fold the end of the webbing in 1 inch or 25mm, and then sew it up with two lines of stitching, it is also fine to sew in other ways to make it even more strengthened.
How to Use Side Release Buckle?
By squeezing on both sides at the same time, the buckle can be released, and slot the male part into female buckle at right angle to click on positive closure, it can be released and fastened repeatly, which is easy to be applied, user-friendly, and effective to secure the straps in place.

Nowadays, injection molding has become the most common method of manufacturing plastic parts, it is ideal for mass production.
